SUMMARY:Spacetide 2019
DESCRIPTION:SPACETIDE organizes Japan’s first private space business conference\, to become an industry platform by connecting key space stakeholders such as startups\, corporations\, government agencies & related organizations\, investors\, engineers\, designers and researchers. Our hope is to support space industry development by providing visibility to new space business. Last year\, around 600 key stakeholders discussed the growing cooperation of space and non-space industry at “SPACETIDE 2018”. This year\, key stakeholders will discuss the frontier of rising space technologies and services\, as the theme of 4th conference “SPACETIDE 2019” is “Accelerating space business\, visions become reality”. More diverse discussions are expected this year\, as we are inviting industry leaders not only from Japan\, US and Europe but from other Asian countries\, to provide new angles to discussions. DESCRIPTION:50 years ago Apollo 11 landed on the Moon and Neil Armstrong set foot on the surface of a celestial body other than Earth. We will remember the Apollo program and pay tribute to its historical events. The same time\, we look into the future and discuss new concepts and business opportunities in the emerging cislunar economy\, both in the short (next 5 years) and the long (up to 20-30 years) run.We will touch the current status of the programs of big Space Agencies – NASA\, ESA\, China\, Roscosmos\, Jaxa (Japan)\, ISRO (India)\, – as well as various private initiatives like the Google Lunar XPRIZE\, The Moon Race\, Moon Village Associaton. Besides marketing and investment opportunities the inspirational\, educational and PR aspects will be discussed as well. Well-known experts and key players of the private sector give valuable insights of what is happening right now and what are their expectations for the future of the cislunar economy.
