1. What are the objectives of the Chandrayaan-3 Video competition?

The video competition is a tribute to the former director of VSSC Dr. S. Ramakrishnan.  It’s a collaboration between ISRO and MVA to provide a platform for students to share their ideas and understanding about the upcoming ISRO mission on the moon Chandayaan-3 by discussing the importance of the mission in a global context. 

2. Who is eligible to participate in the competition?

Students in the age group of 13-21 from all over the world interested in space 

3. How many categories are there to apply?

There are two categories kindly apply as per your eligibility

       Category A: Age group 13-17

       Category B: Age group 18-21

4. How can I register for the competition?

          and click on the Application Form. 

5. How to submit a successful application?

To be considered a successful applicant you must submit all 3 items 

  1.  A biography of 150 words in English (If its a group of students kindly mention the small description of all team members)
  2. A 2-3 minute video in MP4 format with a voiceover in English on the topic of  “Chandrayaan 3 Mission for India and the Global Moon Exploration and Settlement” (Size 200-250 MB)
  3. A .docx or .pdf file with the transcript using English and must include any references that were used

(Kindly note that the video submitted should be an original and unpublished work )

6. What is the timelimit for the video? 

The video should be 2-4 minutes in length. 

7. Does my face have to be in the video? 

No you do not have to have your face in the video, but we require your voice to be in the video, i.e. no computer generated voice is allowed. 

8. Can I use computer generated audio? 

No, we require the content to be authentic and no computer generated voice is allowed. We require the student or students to have their voiceover recorded. 

9. How is the submission judged?

The submissions are judged on their scientific accuracy, creativity and the ability to foster a spirit of unity. 

10. What is the deadline for the submissions?

          Submissions must be received by May 31st 2023, 23:59 CEST

11. What does the winning individual or team receive?

         There will be three winners for each category (Total 6 prizes) 

  1. Gold
    • A signed certificate and mementoes from ISROA free registration entry to the MVA Annual Workshop to be held in Japan, 7-10 December 2023
    • Have their videos featured on both the ISRO and MVA websites after the launch of Chandrayaan-3
  1. Silver
    • A signed certificate and mementoes from ISRO and MVA
    • Have their videos featured on both the ISRO and MVA websites after the launch of Chandrayaan-3   
  1. Bronze
    • A signed certificate and mementoes from ISRO and MVA

        Note: All submissions with an acceptable video will receive a participation certificate after evaluation.

12. When will the result be announced?

The result will be tentatively announced in the week of the Chandrayaan 3 launch
