What you are supposed to do
We expect you to support implementation of some activities coordinated by the MVA Board of Directors member in charge of the Moon Market Development (MMDC), namely:
Moon Markets website maintenance and regular update
(https://moonmarkets.moonvillageassociation.org/)
The overall goal is to make the site a “live journal”, an efficient instrument in everyday activities for all the incumbent and prospective MVA institutional members (IM), as well as individual members and interested persons. For this, a regular update of information in all the sections of the site is thought via:
- IM as major providers of the requested data;
- search and monitoring of relevant websites, forums, blogs, events, analytical articles and reports, press-releases and other publications;
- other sources of information such as MVA individual members interested in the subject, different experts from outside the MVA in both space and non-space fields etc.
All the updates are made via interaction with the MVA webmaster.
Interaction with MVA institutional members (IM) and MVA working group (WG) on Lunar Commerce and Economy (LCE)
Keeping regular contacts with IM Points of Contact (POC) to get information about their activities, products and services offers and requests etc.
Drafting a “IM newcomer welcome kit” and, after approval, implementation of the respective actions.
Participation in the WG LCE meetings and following them up with some particular tasks from MMDC.
Preparation of the “Non-space Business Goes to the Moon” series of workshops
After a very successful first event of the series (https://moonmarkets.moonvillageassociation.org/september-29-2020-non-space-business-goes-to-the-moon/), MVA is going to hold (so far in virtual format) in average two workshops per year dedicated to some particular non-space areas (architecture, robotics, energy, oil and gas etc.). The support officer will be engaged in formation of the workshop agenda, identification of potentials participants, interaction with the selected speakers and in other organisational issues.
Term duration: 1 year (renewable).
Estimated time commitment: 6 – 7 hours a week on average, depending on the type of activities.
