EXTENDED – Call for presentations 8th Global Moon Village Worksop & Symposium

We cordially invite you to submit presentations on a broad range of topics in Moon Village activities as follows. This Workshop & Symposium program will consist of organized sessions and “General Presentation” sessions. Applications for General Presentations are welcome. The oral presentations will be selected from the submitted abstract after reviews by the IPC members.

Introduction

The Moon Village Association (MVA), created in 2017, is a non-governmental organization
(NGO) based in Vienna, Austria. The goal of the MVA is the creation of an informal global forum for
governments, industry, academia, and the public interested in the Moon Village vision – a community
fostering permanent human expansion to Earth’s Moon. It comprises more than 600 participants in
MVA activities and 33 institutional members from more than 60 countries, representing a diverse array
of technical, scientific, cultural, and interdisciplinary fields. More information regarding the MVA may
be found at: (https://moonvillageassociation.org). Each year, the Moon Village Association (MVA)
organizes a major international event — a workshop and symposium (WS&S) at which global leaders
in various fields relevant to humanity’s permanent expansion to Earth’s Moon gather to share progress,
new ideas, and relevant information. This year, the MVA’s 2024 WS&S is being organized in
Luxembourg, during December 2-3, 2024, at the European Convention Center Luxembourg.

Invitation

We cordially invite you to submit presentations on a broad range of topics in Moon
Village activities as follows. This Workshop & Symposium program will consist of organized sessions
and “General Presentation” sessions. Applications for General Presentations are welcome. The oral
presentations will be selected from the submitted abstract after reviews by the IPC members.

Presentation Guidelines

  1. All presentations should be held in English and will be 15 minutes long with an additional 5
    minutes for discussion.
  2. One-page abstracts for presentations are required by September 15, 2024.
  3. All abstracts accepted will be published on the website of Moon Village Association after this
    Workshop & Symposium.

Abstract Submission Rules

  1. One accepted abstract per participant/registration

  3. Include the following information with your submission via e-mail:
    a. Your full name + title
    b. Your affiliation
    c. Your country
    d. Email of the presenting author
    e. Your topic or the above Moon Village activities for which you would like your abstract to
    be considered for presentation

Abstract Structure

  1. Your abstract should be written in English.
  2. The maximum word limit for the abstract is 275 words.
  3. Please follow the abstract template. It is attached in the following section.

Importand Dates

  1. Deadline of submission of abstracts: September 15, 2024 Ocotber 23, 2024
  2. Abstract acceptance notification: October 15, 2024 Novermber 1, 2024
    You will receive an acknowledgment of the receipt of your abstract via email within seven (7)
    working days after submission.
