Moon Village Architecture Working Group Workshop

December 14, 2020 @ 14:00 December 16, 2020 @ 18:30 UTC+0

The Moon Village Association (MVA) Architectural Concepts and Considerations Working Group and the University of Southern California (USC) Viterbi School of Engineering are jointly-organizing an online Moon Village Architecture Workshop that will be held on 14-16 December 2020. This by-invitation online meeting is also being co-organized by the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) Symposium on Building Blocks for Future Space Exploration and Development, and the National Space Society ISDC Lunar Track. The MVA’s Moon Village (MV) Architecture Working Group is conducting during 2020-2021 an “Architecture Reference Case Study” – addressing prospects for the Moon Village, targeting the 2045 time-frame, but looking back toward the present (e.g., 2025 and 2035) and beyond to the further future. (See https://moonvillageassociation.org/about/working-groups/architectural-concepts/.) USC, including the Viterbi School of Engineering has for years conducted well-known and respected academic programs in space systems engineering and architecture studies – during 2020 focusing in part on lunar surface developments.  (Please see https://sites.google.com/a/usc.edu/aste527/home).
