The MVA is looking for a volunteer to help manage the membership register of MVA, and engage members on different online platforms.

What does it involve?
The MVA has an existing platform for membership management, and an online community on Slack. The Membership manager will:
- Monitor registrations on the MVA website, verifying the categories of membership
- Add new members to the right mailing lists, Slack, and other communication channels as needed
- Coordinate with the MVA treasurer to make sure membership fees are paid (including monitoring transactions, verifying receipt of payments in the MVA accounts)
- Communication with members after registration and engage members on Slack
- Run the member spotlight program to showcase MVA members and their unique work
- Update the monthly metrics relating to the membership for the MVA board meeting including number of members and income from membership fees
- Support connecting registered members with opportunities and MVA activities they might be interested in
Estimated time commitment: 4 hours a week
What are we looking for?
In assessing your application, we look at the following:
- Past experience in volunteer positions
- Experience using Slack and web platforms like wordpress
- Experience/familiarity with the space sector or Moon related activities
- Experiences working in a team and leading teams
- Familiarity and comfort with using different software and online platforms such as Microsoft Word and Excel, google apps, and Slack
- Professional Fluency (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) in English
- Awareness of international cooperation principles, concepts and techniques
- Cross-Cultural and Communication Awareness: Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with people from various international and cultural backgrounds
