2025 MVA Moon Market Annual Award – Call for Candidates

Thanks to applicants for the massive response rate! The deadline is extended till Friday, October 31st, 2025

The “MVA Moon Market Annual Award” is provided yearly since 2023 to business organizations that reached major achievements during the year by supporting the creation of the Moon Market. The company ispace from Japan was the sole 2023 nominate and winner. In 2024 there were 9 winners along 3 Award categories. In 2025, the “MVA Moon Market Annual Award” will be attributed to less than 10 organizations, active along at least one of the following Moon Market 9 segments, as defined by the MVA Lunar Trade and Investment Working Group (Lunar Commerce Portfolio):

•M1: Transportation to/from the Moon
•M2: Transportation on the Moon
•M3: Communications & Navigation on the Moon
•M4: Energy and Power
•M5: Services and Public Good
•M6: In-Situ Construction & Manufacturing
•M7: Lunar Resource Extraction
•M8: Habitation and Storage
•M9: Lunar Food Production

Application process

The cut-off date to apply for the “MVA Moon Market Annual Award” 2025 is Tuesday 28 October 2025.

Out of  respect for organisations’ resources and time management, off-the-shelf presentation materials are accepted. No need to develop specific material for this Award. Please upload your most compelling pitches and feel free to add a short summary if you wish to emphasize some angle. 

Interested organizations are welcome to apply in the form below below and include their coordinates and presentation materials.

It’s also fine to propose more than one project per organisation. For example, if you have 3 projects, please make 3 uploads with one set of materials per project. 

Schedule of Awards presentation

Such awards are scheduled and presented at the annual MVA Workshop, on 03-04 December 2025 in Torino, Italy.

Specific goals and objectives recognised by the Awards

They include promoting innovation, recognizing excellence, and fostering collaboration in lunar activities, as well as specific performances for each nominee and winner. The Award may also recognize organizations that have done a great deal in building a thriving space and lunar commercial ecosystem nationally, regionally, or globally.  

Eligibility criteria for companies and startups to participate

They are flexible in considering the stage of development, size, and focus of the projects. There is room for Everyone. Business and revenue models could be exemplified, especially if they manage to consider concrete business opportunities now with international cooperation aspects

Ecosystem partners leading the development of a regional or global multistakeholder lunar economy are also recognized.

Categories envisioned for the Awards

Categories keep evolving to maintain relevance to the nature of applicants and their proposals. In 2024, there were three categories: Lunar Infrastructures, Sustainability, and Game Changers. 

Awards aim in particular to emphasize students or emerging innovators to encourage the next generation of space leaders. Project teams that fosters International collaboration between organizations from various countries is welcome. While vision matters, organisations generating concrete business opportunities in the short term are highly appreciated. 

Award announcement

Candidates’ nominations will be announced publicly on this website and social media during the first week of November 2025.

The winners will be announced publicly at the MVA Annual Workshop scheduled for 3-4 December 2025 in Torino, Italy.

Winners will be informed privately in advance so that they can make travel arrangements.
