Introduction
Chandrayaan-3 is a follow-on mission to Chandrayaan-2 to demonstrate end-to-end capability in safe landing and roving on the lunar surface. It consists of Lander and Rover configuration. It will be launched by LVM3 from SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota. The propulsion module will carry the lander and rover configuration till 100 km lunar orbit. The propulsion module has an experimental payload to study the Earth as an exoplanet using spectral and Polari metric measurements from the lunar orbit.
The mission objectives of Chandrayaan-3 are:
To demonstrate Safe and Soft Landing on Lunar Surface
To demonstrate Rover moving on the Moon and
To conduct in-situ scientific experiments.
Eligibility
Submissions are accepted from students all over the world and will be evaluated in the following categories:
- Ages 13-17
- Ages 18-21
What to Submit
Submissions must include three items:
- An original and unpublished 2-3 minute MP4 video (in English) on the topic “Importance of Chandrayaan-3 Mission for India and the Global Moon Exploration and Settlement,” authored solely by the student(s).
- A .docx or .pdf file with the transcript using English and must include any references that were used
- A maximum 150-word, English-language biography of the author.
Note: The videos will be judged on their scientific accuracy, creativity and the ability to foster a spirit of unity.

Submissions must be received by May 31st 2023, 23:59 CEST June 11th 2023, 23:59 CEST
Note: The Selection will be announced jointly by MVA and ISRO after the launch of Chandrayaan-3 on ISRO Website and simultaneously on MVA website.
There will be three winners for each category will receive
Prizes
- Gold
- A signed certificate and mementos from ISROA free registration entry to the MVA Annual Workshop to be held in Japan, 7-10 December 2023
- Have their videos featured on both the ISRO and MVA websites after the launch of Chandrayaan-3
- Silver
- A signed certificate and mementos from ISRO and MVA
- Have their videos featured on both the ISRO and MVA websites after the launch of Chandrayaan-3
- Bronze
- A signed certificate and mementos from ISRO and MVA
All submissions with an acceptable video will receive a participation certificate after evaluation.
