Lunar Trade & Investment (LTI) WG

Lunar Trade & Investment

Established in 2025, the “Lunar Trade and Investment” Working Group (LTI) is the successor to the “Lunar Commerce and Economics” Working Group (LCE – 2021-2024). The LTI builds upon the LCE’s Lunar Commerce Portfolio robust foundation of rigorous lunar market analysis and mid- to late-century projections. However, the LTI chose to refocus toward current lunar trade and investment relevance up to the mid-2030’s.

The entire ecosystem needs a clear picture and realistic understanding of business cases and constantly evolving roadmaps. To those seeking involvement in projects that are technologically viable, commercially credible, financially sustainable, and legally implementable, the LTI will continue to provide factual clarity and highlight sound opportunities in this ultimate of emerging markets.

The aim is to attract lunar enterprises and fostering international cooperation in sustainable terrestrial and lunar markets. This dual terrestrial-lunar application is key to de-risk projects dealing with embryonic in-space contracting and funding mechanisms.

Lunar companies need to access and navigate regional and international partnerships, receive mentorship, stay on top of legal and governance issues, as much as they need to climb the technology readiness level scale, obtain customers, and generate funding.

To those seeking involvement in projects that are technologically viable, commercially credible, financially sustainable, and legally implementable, the LTI will continue to provide factual clarity and highlight sound opportunities in this ultimate of emerging markets.
