Description

The Towards a Lunar Generation Workshop is an event focused on students and young professionals, aiming to explore new areas of activity for the Moon Village Association, and engage with the next generation on the future of MVA and the Moon Village. About a hundred participants will join experts from across the space industry in a series of workshops, talks and networking events.

Get an opportunity to join this event by taking part in the Towards a Lunar Generation 2021 Video competition. Send us a short video sharing your opinion on the following topics:

How can a Moon Village help future space exploration or scientific development?
What are the main challenges in future lunar exploration?
How can we increase the likelihood of collaborative use of resources and infrastructure on the Moon?
What is a lunar business opportunity yet to be exploited?
What is an emerging technology that can change the way we operate on the Moon?
What is the main challenge for building a Moon Village?

Feel free to share your videos online as well, tagging the MVA in your submissions and use the hashtags #TLG2021 #MVA #MOONVILLAGE #MOONCHALLENGE.

Some of the submissions will be used to put together a promotional video about the Moon Village.

Award

Winners will receive a free registration for the MVA Towards a Lunar Generation event.

How to Apply

To apply, you will need to submit a video no longer than 2 minute that touches one of the topics outlined above using the submission form below.

Eligibility

The language of all submissions must be English.
The competition is open to all young professionals and students aged 18-35.

Submission

The application shall be submitted via the Video Challenge Submission Form below.
The language of all submissions shall be English.
The video shall be no longer than 2 minute, Including Introduction (Name, Country, Student/Professional, Position/Title)
The format of the video shall be MP4, MOV, AVI. Please record your video in landscape mode.
In case of lack of quality of submissions, MVA and other participating organizations have the right to extend and or cancel the competition.

Copyright and intellectual Property

By submitting an entry, applicants agree to permit the MVA and other participating organizations to use their names, affiliations, and headshot photo in connection with the award. This also applies to the video that is submitted: portions of this video could be used for promotional purposes (the authors will be credited for the content).
Copyright of the submitted entry shall remain with the contestants. However, by submitting an entry all contestants agree that MVA and all affiliated organizers are granted non-exclusive reproduction rights regarding all submitted videos. MVA and all affiliated organizers may also present ideas and findings generated by this competition at relevant conferences.

Liability

Organizers shall not be responsible if the award winner fails or is unable to attend the MVA event; in that case, the award offer shall become void.
The award is not transferable to another event or individual.
